A hands-on introduction to workflow automation for Indonesian capital markets, with live implementation exercises covering API integration, JSON data transformation, logic & filtering, and 2 other key automation pillars that power a self-running IDX stock intelligence system.
The workshop is structured around five progressive modules and a capstone project, following a build-as-you-learn approach to connecting n8n workflows to real Sectors API data. Each module combines a short concept walkthrough with a hands-on exercise where participants build and run live automations on their own machine — no prior coding experience required.

Course book included
Register early to receive a copy of the 67-page e-book on Agentic Patterns, revised and updated in February 2026.
This e-book is a great companion to the workshop, and provides great reference materials to early parts of the workshop.
...we have a toolkit of composable patterns that can inform the design of an Enterprise AI Agentic system. Such a design is only a blueprint — a conceptual architecture that needs to be materialized if they are to offer any business value in the real world. With this book, my goal is to provide a practical guide on materializing a given blueprint by grouping tasks-to-be-done into six functionally distinct pillars, which bear the acronym LEAVES 🌿.

Connecting to Live IDX Data
Setting up n8n and making the first live call to the Sectors API — understanding how workflow automation works and how to read the data it returns.
- What n8n is and how nodes, workflows, and triggers work together
- How REST APIs work: HTTP methods, endpoints, headers, and JSON responses
- Storing the Sectors API key as a reusable Credential inside n8n
- Reading and navigating nested JSON responses from the Sectors API
Filtering and Routing Stock Data
Shaping raw API responses into clean, decision-ready outputs — and applying fundamental filters to route IDX stocks based on financial criteria.
- Set node and Edit Fields: selecting, renaming, and cleaning data fields
- IF node: splitting data into pass/fail branches based on P/E ratio thresholds
- Switch node: routing companies into multiple streams by sector or criteria
- n8n expression syntax: accessing field values with {{ $json.field_name }}
Delivering Intelligence to Familiar Tools
Sending filtered IDX data to Google Sheets, Telegram, and Gmail — and scheduling workflows to run automatically without manual intervention.
- Connecting output channels: Google Sheets (logging), Telegram Bot, and Gmail (alerts)
- Dynamic message formatting with live data values using n8n expressions
- Schedule Triggers and cron expressions for time-based automation
- Activating workflows, monitoring execution logs, and basic error handling
Capstone: IDX Stock Intelligence System
Bringing everything together into one self-running system — a Daily Screener, Price Alert, and Morning Digest that operate fully automatically.
- Daily Screener: fetching and filtering top companies by P/E ratio, market cap, and dividend yield
- Price Alert: detecting intraday moves greater than 5% and triggering immediate notifications
- Morning Digest: aggregating top movers and screener results into a formatted daily summary
- All outputs logged simultaneously to Google Sheets for historical review
