I am Samuel, the co-founder of Supertype (2021), Algoritma Enterprise AI Education (2016) , and Sectors Financial Data Suite (2024) .
My first software startup was in 2006 — a looooong time ago in startup years — and since then I have built and exited a few more companies, all in the software space.
I have no greater passion than leading companies (including mine) in building well-engineered product experiences — through a strong people-first culture & responsible use of AI.
I also use long dashes a lot.
Getting in Touch
I am selective about the kind of projects I take on, given the limited time I have outside of Supertype, Algoritma, leading the engineering work on Sectors, leading analytics and AI engineering initiatives at the Alamtri Group as a principal consultant, and my community work (Gaza Tech Mentorship, open source, and others).
To that end, I have also taken a break from my YouTube channel to focus on these priorities. I have lived (more than a year) or have been a homeowner in 5 countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China, and Indonesia.
